If you're gonna be strong, like a Duelist from Duel Academy, you'll
need to know how to Summon your Monsters, play your Spells,
and spring your Traps with the utmost skill. Follow these tips to
start down your path to victory
Winged Kuriboh AscensionJaden Yuki"Winged Kuriboh LV10" has a nasty special ability that can quickly turn a Duel in your favor. To pull it off, you'll need "Transcendent Wings" and "Winged Kuriboh". If your opponent sees that you have "Winged Kuriboh" face-up on the field, he may restrain his attacks and hold back some monsters, so you'll want to Set your flying fuzz ball face-down instead. That's okay, because you can still Tribute it face-down for "Transcendent Wings", which lets you grab "Winged Kuriboh LV10" from your Deck. Then all of your opponent's attacking monsters will be destroyed and his Life Points depleted!Vehicroids in OverdriveSyrus TruesdaleSyrus Truesdale's Vehicroid monsters let you stomp your rival with a smile. These Machines have awesome special abilities. "Gyroid" has to be attacked twice in the same turn before it can be destroyed, so it's a great defense while you wait to draw your mighty "Steamroid" and the Spell Card "Power Bond". Then, with "Power Bond", you can weld the two Vehicroids together into the stronger "Steam Gyroid" Fusion Monster, with double the attack power! Let your Machines achieve total power by adding "Limiter Removal" to your combo, and charge your opponent for 8800 attack points!Hero's Work Never Ends!Jaden YukiJaden's Elemental Heroes are top-notch Duel Monsters that defeat villainy and do it with style. Against a tough opponent, a single Hero like "Elemental Hero Sparkman" won't be enough. So if he gets destroyed in battle, activate "Hero Signal" to call another Hero into action, like the defensive "Elemental Hero Clayman". When your opponent gathers enough strength to defeat "Elemental Hero Clayman", that's when you can reveal your Heroes' secret plan, and activate "Miracle Fusion"! This card can fuse any 2 of your Elemental Heroes together, even if they are in the Graveyard, so you can use it to Summon "Elemental Hero Thunder Giant" and smash any villainous monster!Unlock the Ancient PowerDr. Vellian CrowlerFace-down Spell and Trap Cards may scare off the average Duelist from attacking, but not Dr. Vellian Crowler! That's because he has the Ancient Gear monsters, which are safe from those cards when they attack. The "Ancient Gear Beast" has the extra ability to stop the special effects of monsters it destroys, and the gargantuan "Ancient Gear Golem" can damage your opponent's Life Points even when attacking Defense Position monsters! The "Ancient Gear Beast" and "Ancient Gear Golem" are both colossal monsters that require Tributes to Summon, so if you use them in your Deck you should also have "Cost Down" to lower the amount of Tributes required. This allows you to smash your rivals with the Ancient Gear monsters that much quicker!Prepare your Heroes for BattleJaden YukiJaden does so well in his Duels because he provides his Elemental Hero monsters with protection, weapons, and special techniques. You can do the same by playing with the right Spell Cards. Equip "Elemental Hero Sparkman" with "Spark Blaster" to change the battle positions of the opposing monsters, making it easier for you to strike through. "Wroughtweiler" is an Elemental Hero's best friend, since it can return them from the Graveyard to your hand, making sure no Hero is left behind. Most importantly, your Elemental Heroes will need a secret base, and that's where "Skyscraper" comes in. It gives all your "Elemental Heroes" a +1000 ATK bonus when battling stronger monsters! This is a must-have card for your Elemental Hero Deck!Cyber Dragon Assault!Zane TruesdaleThe "Cyber Dragon" is a fast, ferocious, and fearsome monster, and having 3 in your Deck will help propel you to the top of the Duelist rankings, just like Zane Truesdale! "Cyber Dragon" can be Special Summoned from your hand when the opponent has a monster on the field and you have none. What a great reason to go second in a Duel! An even cooler trick with "Cyber Dragon" is to fuse them together into the multi-headed "Cyber Twin Dragon" or "Cyber End Dragon" Fusion Monsters. These titanium terrors can win a Duel very quickly for you! You could use "Power Bond" to fuse your monsters, but there's an even faster way to Summon "Cyber End Dragon". The special ability of "Cyber-Stein" can Special Summon "Cyber Twin Dragon" or "Cyber End Dragon" at the cost of 5000 Life Points. A hefty price, but worth it for such a powerful monster.
